Australian College of Training strives for excellence in training, assessment and service delivery.  The College has provided this page to enable learners to access all the necessary information to support there life long learning journey with Australian College of Training.

Equity and Access Policy

Australian College of Training is committed to promoting, encouraging and valuing equity and diversity with respect to its learners and to provide them with a positive learning environment to achieve success.

Australian College of Training will ensure services offered are provided in a fair and equitable manner to all learners, free from bias.

Australian College of Training abides by equal opportunity principles, providing access to the benefits of training and assessment to all learners regardless of cultural background, socio-economic status, pregnancy, marital status, family/career responsibilities, linguistic background, gender, sexuality, political conviction, religious beliefs, disability or age.

All learners have equitable access to training resources and facilities, support services and information, trainers and assessors, learning and assessment materials and opportunities. If you have any areas of difficulty with the English language, including speaking and listening, reading, writing, or difficulties with numeracy or other learning barriers. It is your responsibility to inform the College representative at prior to enrolment so we can determine if we have the internal capabilities to support you through your training program, or that you can access external support prior to or whilst you are completing your program.  Support includes reasonable adjustment arrangements to your training and assessment provided the integrity of the unit outcomes is maintained.

Additional fees may apply dependent on the level of support required by the learner and the type of funded program available.

Privacy

This policy outlines how your personal information is handled and used by the College.

The personal information you provide will only be used by the College for your enrolment and maintenance of student records.  Information collected may be used and disclosed to other parties such as the State and Australian Government agencies where required or authorised by law  Privacy of personal information is outlined within the Student Handbook.

All students are provides with access to the Student Handbook on Enrolment to a qualification or course with the College.  It is the student’s responsibility to read and understand the policies, procedures and terms outlined in the Student Handbook.

Learner Handbook

This Learner Handbook provides information on policies, procedures, enrolment information, fees and charges and learner’s/students’ rights and obligations.

All students are provides with access to the Learner Handbook on Enrolment to a qualification or course with the College.  It is the learner’s/student’s responsibility to read and understand the policies, procedures and terms outlined in the Learner Handbook.

Learner Course Enrolment

All students enroling in a VET qualification, short course or skill set must complete an enrolment form each time you enrol in a new course.

Enrolment Form and Training Application

USI – Unique Student Identifier

Have your got your number?  From 1 January 2015 each student will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) when studying nationally recognised training in Australia.

This includes completing an apprenticeship, traineeship, skill set, accredited course or any other vocational qualification.

A USI gives you access to your online USI account which will help keep all your training records together.
